Representation of sp2 (Z/E) stereoisomerism is more difficult since it requires perception of a double bond, and the identification of double bonds may be the subject of disagreement among chemists. At a more fundamental level, the existence of distinct Z/E isomers depends on the rate of rotation around formal double bonds, a property that cannot generally be deduced from a simple analysis of a connection table.
